"We are incredibly disappointed with our service and lack of coverage. We called because the resent storms damaged our home like so many others and they were so fast and happy to inform me we aren’t covered. Upon further investigation and conversation with thousands of our friends and followers we have heard dozens of stories just like ours with State Farm. We called our own agent’s office and you think you’d find at least a little bit of sympathy from somebody you’ve paid so much money for years and never had a claim. I called the office of this agent, which is our agent… At least, so I thought. Couldn’t care less"

"I’m so sorry to hear your recent damage to your home was not covered. As i reviewed the conversation you had with my office it appears your damage was due to flooding which is not a named peril on ANY standard homeowner policy. This is not just on the local level nor is it a decision may just by State Farm. In 1968 the federal government created FEMA because they felt that flooding was too widespread for most insurance carriers. That’s why the program was created. Again, I am sorry for your loss and if we can do anything to mitigate future losses due to flooding We will be happy to assist. "
